Oscar-nomineringerne er blevet offentliggjort, og Druk fik hele to nomineringer for både Bedste ikke-engelsksprogede film og for Bedste instruktion! Thomas Vinterberg bliver således den første dansker, der får en nominering i instruktør-kategorien.
Chadwick Boseman nomineret posthumt for sin rolle i Ma Rainey's Black Bottom for Bedste mandlige hovedrolle. Dermed blev Mads Mikkelsen desværre overset i denne kategori, selvom han havde været på tale til netop en nominering.
Til gengæd blev hele to andre danskere nomineret, nemlig klipperen Mikkel E.G. Nielsen for sit arbejde på Sound of Metal og instruktøren Elvira Lind for kortfilmen 'The Letter Room'.
Oscar-uddelingen finder sted den 25. april.
