Så kom de, de 91. Oscar-nomineringer, og der var plads til overraskelser og meget ventede navne på listen.
Det var dog ærgerligt, at den danske Den skyldige ikke blev nomineret i kategorien Bedste udenlandske film. Til gengæld fik vi den første superheltefilm nogensinde i kategorien Bedste film.
'Roma' og 'The Favourite' fik hver 10 nomineringer, 'Vice' fik 9, 'A Star is Born' fik 8, 'Black Panther' fik 7, 'BlacKkKlansman' fik 6, 'Green Book' og 'Bohemian Rhapsody' fik begge 5 og 'First Man' fik 4.
Overraskende nok modtog Bradley Cooper IKKE en nominering som instruktør, Timothée Chalamet fik IKKE en nominering for 'Beautiful Boy' og 'First Man' blev IKKE nomineret i kategorien Bedste score.
